Port container transportBarava's port container jobs run on Seferi
Barava Lojistik hauls 20, 40 and 45 ft containers and tanks from Ambarlı and Derince ports, and also offers warehousing and customs clearance. It uses the whole Seferi platform; the biggest change is in container job queries and work orders. The move away from Excel is still under way.
Problem
How it ran before
Every container job leaving the port was a row in Excel. The job's details were copied by hand into the sheet, and from there into a work order.
With every job taking that route, the copying took time and was open to errors, and checking a job's status meant searching through files.
Solution
What they use
- Work orders with AI
- AI reads the container job's details and the work order is ready in seconds. Container and job details are not retyped by hand.
- Queries in one record
- Which container is at which stage is no longer looked up in Excel; jobs sit in one record, and the team checks them from the same screen.
Measurement
The move is under way
Barava Lojistik is in the middle of moving from Excel to Seferi; container job queries and work orders already run on Seferi. This page does not state an improvement rate: a rate needs a comparison with the time before Seferi, and that period ran on Excel, so there is no baseline to compare against. Once the move is complete and a comparable period has built up, the figure will be published here.
