Pars Global: container work orders in seconds

Pars Global, based in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, runs multimodal, intermodal and rail transport alongside warehousing and port release services. It uses the whole Seferi platform; the biggest change is in container job queries and work orders. The move away from Excel is still under way.

Problem

How it ran before

Container jobs were tracked in Excel. The details of each incoming job were typed into a sheet, and from there into a work order, by hand.

Finding out where a job stood meant searching through files. Because the same information was kept by hand in several places, it took time and was open to typing errors.

Solution

What they use

Work orders with AI
AI reads the details of an incoming container job and prepares the work order in seconds. Nothing is retyped by hand, which removes the source of typing errors.
Querying container jobs
Jobs are no longer searched for in Excel files. Every container job sits in one record, and the team checks where a job stands from the same screen.

Measurement

The move is under way

Pars Global is in the middle of moving from Excel to Seferi; container job queries and work orders already run on Seferi. This page does not state an improvement rate: a rate needs a comparison with the time before Seferi, and that period ran on Excel, so there is no baseline to compare against. Once the move is complete and a comparable period has built up, the figure will be published here.
