At EMN, one system instead of Excel and manual checks

EMN runs its 25+ own-fleet vehicles on Seferi end to end: quoting, orders, trips, documents and the hand-off to accounting all sit on the same record.

Problem

What used to be hard

The whole process ran on Excel and by hand. At busy times it took longer to answer an order: prices were set manually and every job meant hours of data entry.

Cost could not be measured. What a trip actually cost was spread across files, so the price rested on the team's experience rather than a transparent calculation.

And that experience stayed with people, not in a system. Knowledge of the operation lived in the team's memory, and every line going to Siber on the cargo, transport and accounting side needed a separate manual check.

Solution

What they use

Quoting and pricing
The price is not typed in; trip cost is built line by line and the margin is applied on top. The same job no longer gets two different prices.
Orders and trips
One record instead of Excel files. The whole team sees the same trip on the same screen; the work lives in the system, not in someone's memory.
Documents and the driver app
Drivers upload the waybill and proof of delivery from the phone and it lands on the trip record. The office no longer has to call and ask.
Hand-off to accounting
A delivered order is passed to the accounting system. Seferi does not issue the invoice — the data goes to Siber, which shortens the chain of manual checks.

Measurement

Measurement is building up

What could not be measured before is now on record: the cost of every trip builds up line by line. There is no improvement rate on this page because a rate needs a comparison with the period before Seferi — and that period ran on Excel, so there is no baseline. Once a comparable period is complete, the figure will be published here.
