Three sheets in the file

All you enter is one row per driver-day; the hour calculation and the per-driver totals follow on their own.

01

Timesheet

One row per driver-day: start, end and break. Hours worked are calculated by formula.

02

Summary

Period totals and a per-driver breakdown. Type a driver's name and that driver's totals appear.

03

How to use

Which columns are formulas, how night shifts are handled and why there are no preset rates — all inside the file.

Columns in the template

Columns with a blue header are formulas — do not overwrite them. The rest is your data.

No cell carries a pre-filled amount or rate. You enter the normal working hours per day; leave it blank and the overtime column stays blank too.

Where does Excel stop?

The arithmetic is not the problem: Excel handles this, and the template exists to make that easier.

The limit starts at data entry. The hours come from the driver while the file sits on your desk; in between there are calls, messages and paper collected in the evening. Every row corrected at month end pushes payroll back another day.

The second limit is concurrency. Two people cannot edit the same file at once, and once two copies are circulating there is no answer to which one is right.

The third is context. A timesheet on its own is just a number; it means something when it sits next to the trip, the vehicle and what that trip cost. Joining data that lives in separate files is manual work done at month end.

Frequently asked questions

Does the template calculate the overtime premium?
No, deliberately not. The premium rate and the weekly threshold depend on local law and the employment contract, and a wrong rate baked into a template causes real payroll loss. The template gives you the hours; you apply the rate.
Are shifts running past midnight handled correctly?
Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start, the formula adds a day, so 22:00–06:00 counts as eight hours. Whatever you put in the break column is deducted from that total.
Do I need to sign up to download it?
No. We do not ask for an email and there is no form. The file downloads as soon as you click.
How many rows is the template set up for?
Formulas are pre-filled for 200 rows. If you need more, copy the last row downwards.

Let the driver log the hours

In Seferi the timesheet comes from the driver's mobile app and lives on the same record as the trip and the vehicle. Manual entry and the second copy disappear.
