A search for "free freight software" usually returns three things: an Excel file, a demo that leaves a few records open and locks the rest, or a trial that asks for a card. All three use the word "free" to mean something different.

What is genuinely free
None of these ask for a sign-up. Files download directly, calculators run in the browser. No cell carries a pre-filled amount; the figures are yours.

Where Excel is enough, and where it stops
For the arithmetic, Excel is enough. Profit per trip, cost per km, utilisation — all of it works in Excel, and the templates above exist to make exactly that easier. For a five-vehicle operation this can be enough for a long time.
Where Excel stops is not the arithmetic but concurrency. Information comes from the field — the driver, the customer, an incoming email — and the file sits on a desk. In between there are calls, messages and paper collected in the evening. As the fleet grows, so does what gets lost in between; at month end, "what did this trip really cost" is answered by hand.
The second limit is context: the quote in one file, the trip in another, the invoice in the accounting system. The same job living in three places makes "was this job profitable" a hard question to ask.
When paid software becomes necessary
If two of these are true at the same time, the problem is no longer how the spreadsheet is kept but where the information comes from:
- Reading incoming rate requests from email and turning them into quotes takes a measurable part of the day.
- Trip data reaches you by phone while the driver is on the road, and you type it into the file.
- More than one copy of the plan is circulating and which one is current is up for debate.
- The real cost of a trip — tolls in particular — only becomes clear when the invoice arrives.
- Customers call to ask where their load is, and answering means calling someone else.
Seferi has no free tier
We say this upfront, because describing paid software as free to someone searching for free is obvious on the first screen and breaks trust.
There is no restricted edition: a five-vehicle fleet and a fifty-vehicle fleet use the same full set of modules. Pricing is split into three bands by vehicle count only — 1–10 vehicles 2,990 TL, 11–30 vehicles 4,990 TL, 31–50 vehicles 8,990 TL, monthly and excluding VAT. Annual billing charges 10 months instead of 12.
Card details are taken at sign-up and payment is charged upfront. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days you can request a refund; the terms are shown before payment. So the trial is not free, but the risk is not yours.
